Celebrate Your Success

Guest article by Michael Angier

“Those at the top of the mountain didn’t fall there.”
– Marcus Washling

An important element of the science of achievement is the need to celebrate our successes. It’s also one that’s easily ignored and even contradicted.

The problem for many of us is we never quite feel successful, because as soon as we reach one goal or pass a certain milestone, we’re already going after the next one. Too often, we don’t stop to revel in the feeling of accomplishment. We’re too focused on the next rung of the ladder – that’s if we’ve even noticed we’ve moved up another rung.

I’m not advocating resting on our laurels. I’m suggesting we truly experience the joy that comes from seeing our progress and accomplishing our objectives.

I recently completed and published a book called, 101 Best Ways to Get Ahead. It feels great to have it done, and I’m getting lots of accolades from people I respect and admire. It’s a good book. An easy read-both entertaining and informative.

But I find it a little too easy for me to look at ways I could have done it better. In doing so, I take away from my satisfaction-my sense of accomplishment and joy.

And I know I’m not alone in this process. The people I interview and coach share that they do the same thing. No job seems good enough. No achievement is great enough.

It’s the wrong focus. When we do this, we’re being ungrateful-we’re thwarting abundance.

We can always see ways we could have done it better or faster. But the truth is we did it. In my case, having published a book is clearly a milestone-something millions of people aspire to and yet only a few thousand actually achieve.

So I’m going to celebrate it. I’m going to indulge myself in feelings of triumph and success, and I’m going to resist the natural tendency to disparage my work or myself.

I keep a Win List. I find that listing the wins in my life-big and small-is more than therapeutic. And it’s a real pick-me-up to review the good things that have happened to me as well as the things I’ve made happen.

It keeps me grateful and it keeps me focused on the good stuff.

Celebrating our successes employs a universal law: when we appreciate what we have and what we’ve done, we find ourselves having more to appreciate.

What accomplishment can you celebrate? What milestones can you highlight or acknowledge? Your last promotion? Helping someone through a tough time? Winning that new contract? Losing those five pounds? Giving that presentation?

When you do these things, it anchors positive feelings into your consciousness and prepares you for more of the same. Like attracts like and your feelings are powerful magnets indeed.

The Mind Needs To Be Tamed To Be Successful In Any Home Business!

Guest article by John Wallen

The psychology of recruiting that is applied to prospecting, to sponsor has much to do with group dynamics of being a leader. To succeed in any home business the mind has to be in order, the ego tamed as they say. Looking at things in a new light if necessary to gain results.

Why is it a lot of networkers sponsor easily, while this other larger majority struggles until they usually cave into failure. Well, it’s a fact it has nothing to do with the scripts they maybe using or what ever it is they are saying to get their point across.

There’s no such thing as magic dialog, or a magic phrase for objection that will give surprising results. You can work endless hours at your computer creating scripts that have trance like results to get prospects to join.

What you’re about to learn will allow you to tap into knowledge and power that took many successful networkers years to acquire and once you master this mindset, you will truly find yourself a completely different person because you will be able to sponsor more reps without hard selling.

When it comes to sponsoring, our first intuitive notion is to sell your opportunity or product. That shouldn’t be your goal, and I know that sounds backwards because if your not trying to sell anyone on your home business, how can you make a sale and what’s the point otherwise. What else would you focus on.

Well there’s a problem with selling when it comes to this industry, especially when you’re offering a business opportunity. Most of us can’t sell anything and unfortunately, this is what happens most of the time in this industry. New distributors are just focused on the sale. When they should be focused on good marketing methods using the internet.

It’s a continuous uphill struggle. People always avoid it, your fighting the instincts of being sold. They aren’t sure their making the right decision, their distrustful and are afraid of being scammed. You have to make every effort to get the idea in their head, it’s their idea to make the purchase from you. Knowledge of the best marketing strategies is the only way to do that.

This is the new paradigm when it comes to selling in today’s market. It’s all in the marketing system you use. And again in today’s world that is on the world wide web, and you should gain this knowledge if you want to succeed in building a solid home business.

Don’t Let Negative People Influence Your Mind

Guest article by Farid Beck

In order to succeed in network marketing you must be prepared to dream big. Most people are taught to dream like a little child with high hopes of conquering the world but they fail the moment they are faced with negativity.

One of the biggest dream killers in Network Marketing whom you must avoid is negative people. You must understand that these people do not share your goals and aspirations. In fact they will go all out to undermine your success efforts because they perceive it as a threat to their self-esteem. In other words, your success will make them feel like a loser and they will do anything to make sure you fail.

Here are a few ways to shield your mind from negative people:

- Change your environment. Your environment plays a major role in ensuring your success and it doesn’t pay to keep negative people around you all the time. Everybody feels sad, weak or depressed at times. Even Superman gets weak from exposing himself to Kryptonite but he gets his energy back from the Sun. If you want to remain positive, you have to pull yourself away from your negative wife, in-laws, parents, beer-drinking buddies and head off to the next motivational rally to keep your spirits high. Let the Sun recharge your power and you will have the strength to take on the world again.

- Do not underestimate the power of positive motivation. There are many people who refer to them as motivational crap or motivational yadda yadda. If you feel that you cannot benefit from motivation, you must examine your heart or your feelings. Are you starting to buy into other people’s negative whining or are YOU turning into a negative parasite yourself? You must not give up on yourself. Get back in the game by moving your butt and read more positive books!

- Action precedes action! If you are feeling negative due to people’s negativity because you are not achieving results, then here’s one thing you can do. Get back in the groove by acting the part. A writer doesn’t gain inspiration by just sitting there. They get their inspiration by writing, moving, thinking and training their minds. The same applies to your positive energy as well. If you dont feel like doing anything, just ignore your feelings and be like Nike – JUST DO IT! You will find yourself getting up and you will MOVE IT just like the cartoon characters in Madagascar!
